Some ships are remembered for the treasures they carried.

Others are remembered for the souls they claimed.

The Blackwater Wraith belongs to neither.

Forged from lightning-struck timber and lost within a storm that erased three entire fleets, the Wraith has drifted through centuries as a silent omen upon blackened seas. Her lanterns still burn. Her sails still hang in tatters. Yet no captain commands her, and no harbor has ever welcomed her home.

When lit, this candle unfolds like that cursed voyage itself. Dark marine notes of Black Sea rise first, carrying the scent of salt-laden wind and midnight tides. Lavender Driftwood follows with weathered timber, worn rigging, and the quiet creak of an ancient hull. Finally, a restrained touch of Very Vanilla emerges, recalling the faint warmth of lanterns glowing deep below deck... where something unseen still waits.

Crafted with our premium Coconut Apricot Crème Wax and finished with a crackling wooden wick, The Blackwater Wraith transforms any room into the deck of a forgotten ghost ship suspended between storm and silence.

Some legends are meant to be told.

Others are meant to be witnessed.

⚓ The Blackwater Wraith

The Founding Legend

Long before her name was spoken in fear, she was a vessel of pride.

Forged from timber dragged from lightning-struck forests and sealed with tar blessed by tide-priests, her keel cut through water as though the sea itself bowed to her passage. She sailed under no king’s banner, pledged to no empire. Her captain was said to have made a pact not with crown or coin… but with the horizon.

Then came the Blackwater Storm.

The sky did not darken.
It collapsed.

Three fleets vanished that night. Not shattered. Not scattered. Gone. The sea did not return splinters or sails. Only silence.

When dawn finally clawed its way across the tide, the waters lay unnaturally still. No debris. No bodies. No wreckage.

Only her.

The brig that should have been swallowed stood alone upon glass-black water. Her sails hung in tatters yet caught no wind. Her lanterns burned though no crew moved upon her deck. And carved beneath her waterline, just visible when the tide dipped low, was a symbol no sailor recognized: a crown encircled by broken waves.

She drifted forward without ripple.

Those who dared approach swore they felt watched—not by eyes, but by intent. Compasses spun. Oars fell heavy. Even the sea seemed unwilling to touch her hull.

By the second nightfall, she was gone.

Since then, sightings come only before disaster.

A mast glimpsed through fog.
Lantern light swaying over black swells.
The faint creak of timber where no ship should be.

Veteran captains lower their sails when thunder rolls across still water. They extinguish lanterns and whisper no prayers, for prayers draw attention.

For the Blackwater Wraith does not pursue.

She selects.

And those marked by her passage find that storms follow, fleets fracture, and maps lose their certainty. It is said the Wraith is not a ghost of the drowned.

She is the steward of them.

Some believe she searches for something lost in that first vanished fleet.
Some believe she guards a throne beneath the waves.
Some believe she is only the first of many bearing the drowned crown.

But all agree on one truth:

When the tide turns black and the air grows heavy as wet timber…

The Wraith is near.
